St Thomas College of Nursing Kattanam is a professional, self-financing institution owned and managed by Mar Thoma Medical Mission of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church which is a registered society under The Travancore Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies It is one of the teaching institutions attached to St.Thomas Mission Hospital Kattanam, which is a 250 bedded multispecialty Hospital with history of Nursing Education since 48 years and excel in patient care since 76 years. St.Thomas Mission Hospital, Kattanam was established under the patronage of His Grace Yuhanon Marthoma Metropolitan in 1948.

St. Thomas College of Nursing was established in the year 2008 .The college offers BSC Nursing Course with an annual intake of 50 seats The college is functioning under the Mar Thoma Medical Mission. Parent Hospital is a 250 bedded multi speciality hospital with 24 departments, imparting clinical training to Nursing and paramedical students.
